Storage law and safety advice

Section 26-2C-25(A)(2) allows possession of cannabis above two ounces when the excess is stored at the person’s private residence, away from public view. Separately, subsection (A)(9) permits possession of the harvest from plants grown within the legal plant limits, regardless of its weight.

These provisions should not be described as a blanket statewide lock rule for living plants. Check applicable local rules and lease or property restrictions; section 26-2C-26(A)(2) preserves a property owner’s ability to prohibit cannabis activities on their private property.
