There’s times when I am defoliating or doing low stress training when touching colas is impossible to avoid. At times I’ll notice a wide variance in how colas look and some will look brown while some will look pure white months before the plant is ready to harvest and I was curious to know whether it may be due to unintentionally touching them. So, I decided to intentionally touch them and document what happened.

As you can see, touching the colas made no difference in pistils turning brown. The pistils still grow out normally according this experiment so if you touch them, don’t fret, it wont lessen your yield or stunt your colas growth like some of these online rumors suggest.
