MSP – EPISODE 3 – DIE OR LIVE – Environment & Deficiencies

Last episode of the meta soil project I was heated…… and to be honest, I was blaming coco for cannabis’s feed schedule when it was really my lack of understanding, so I’m sharing what I learned.

Potassium, Calcium and magnesium all compete for the same uptake slots and having excess of one may cause deficiency in the others. Because this coco was pre buffered in 1200 ppm cal mag water, the appropriate K for the ideal ratio of 5:3:1 (K:Ca:Mg) would have to have been in the 1500 ppm range which is absurd. I was completely wrong when it came to saying there was not enough K in my original coco breakdown videos and it’s clear that this experience has taught me that coco is in fact, a different machine.

Among other issues that come up is algae and funny looking growth in solutions. The soil slots seem to be going really well and they’re definitely stress free compared to coco.
