Quick answer: The pair of 2022 Spider Farmer SF2000 lights produced strong-looking flowers across two completed grows in my 4-by-3 tent. I ran seven strains in the first project, kept the same lighting setup for the second, and saw fully developed corner sites. That is useful real-grow evidence, but it is not a controlled test of every variable or a review of the models sold today.
Important old-model warning: My lights used Samsung LM301B diodes and Mean Well drivers. The 2026 SF2000 and SF4000 listings use different Bridgelux hardware and are not the same specifications. I consider that component change a downgrade from the fixtures that produced these harvests, even though Spider Farmer says the current models maintain similar output and efficiency. What happened across the two grows
The first project was a seven-strain hunt in a 4-by-3 tent. I used two SF2000 panels and did not find it necessary to push the dimmers past 70 percent in that room. Bloom ran during summer, and I did not observe a heat problem caused by the lights in that setup.
The separate panels let me leave space between the fixtures, which helped cover the corners. The finished flowers looked dense and frosty on camera, including sites outside the center. I then kept the same lighting arrangement for the Meta Soil project. Keeping that part of the setup steady made the two projects easier to compare.

What the harvest proves—and what it does not
The video is stronger than an unboxing because the lights completed two full projects. It shows that the tested pair could support healthy-looking flowers across the canopy when the rest of the room was managed well.
It does not isolate lighting as the only cause. Genetics, plant count, training, feeding, environment and grower decisions all affected the harvest. I did not run a simultaneous control tent, weigh a light-specific yield, measure wall power in this video or repeat the project with multiple copies of the fixture. The quality rating is my visual and practical assessment, not a laboratory potency test.

Why two SF2000 panels are not one SF4000
The old title called this an SF4000 review, but the grow actually used two separate SF2000 panels. I could position those panels independently and leave a gap between them. That changes distribution, hanging and failure risk. It is not honest to copy these harvest results onto one SF4000—especially a later SF4000 generation with different parts.
Before buying a current SF-series light
- Check the exact generation. Match the diode brand, driver, wattage, controller and model number on the actual listing.
- Map your own canopy. Use multiple readings instead of one bright center number. The LED measurement guide shows the workflow.
- Plan heat and electrical load. Include every device on the circuit, not only the light.
- Compare real grow results. Unboxing quality and component labels do not prove a harvest.
- Verify the seller and written warranty. Marketplace listings can keep an ASIN while the package changes.
- Ignore stale percentage claims. Compare the final cart total rather than trusting a code copied from an old video.
