Got all the joists and 2" foam up today, keep in mind this is something ive never done so it did take a day and its not perfect but will serve the function I need, all thats left is to hit it with weather tape at all the joints to seal and get some panda film up there to reflect and protect

SeedlingDay 1
This is my journal on building out the detached room I have into a grow room.
We just moved in about 6 months ago and the plan has been to build this room into a grow, I used it temporarily with tents to grow out a couple but now is the build to be a functional grow.
Currently all I have is 3 wires for 3 20 amp circuits run to the room, nothing was currently powered til today when I put 2 15 amp outlets in on a circuit. The room was previously piggybacked off our hvac system 🤦♂️.
Steps to the plan are as follows:
1. Run at least a couple outlets to get started
2. Build a ceiling with 2" foam and just enough joists to support the grow light and the foam as currently it just has a drop ceiling and a tin porch awning for the roof which provides shit insulation.
3. Close off the 1st window in there and install a vent for a carbon filter, I currently have 2 aci 6" filters but one is just going to filter the air inside for smells.
4. Seal around the window unit with more 2" foam insulation the other window and get it weather tight.
5. Putting up panda film on the walls for light reflectiveness and easieness of cleaning plus the walls are ugly af.
6. Wiring up the rest of the circuits when I decide where to place them all
7. Forgot this one but running a spigot inside possibly for easier fill of res because it is either that or bring a hose in to fill or haul buckets up and down.
8. Mounting light, setting up aircubes, rez etc and everything else I need to get back up and running.
9. Putting up siding on the outdoor hall leading to the room to keep it more private.
Probably missed a couple things that I am going to do but this is the general plan.
Here is some pictures of the current room and my temporary wiring situation 😅
