A new chapter for HWGrow

I have been rebuilding HWGrow from the ground up. The goal is simple: make this the easiest place to learn how to grow, find the right answer, document your progress and talk to real growers—without depending on another platform to decide whether the community gets to stay online.

The site is no longer just a pile of tutorials. It is becoming a connected grow platform built around practical education, first-party videos, real community experience and tools that save you time.

Ask the HWGrow Guide

The HWGrow Guide is a real-time grow chatbot built around the information in the HWGrow library. Free logged-in members can ask 10 questions per hour and 50 per day. Cup of Coffee and other Supporters can ask 20 per hour and 100 per day, while Masterclass members can ask 50 per hour and 500 per day. Anonymous visitors do not have chatbot access. Ask a grow question and get a short practical answer; when the library has a matching clip, the Guide Assistant jumps to the useful part of a captioned HWGrow video and links the complete article for more detail. I have not promoted these features yet, so the community is still small. That means a useful answer, a detailed journal update or a correction that genuinely improves the Guide Assistant has a much better chance of being seen right now.

There is no guaranteed payout for posting. Qualified contributions must pass the site’s anti-gaming rules, and monthly reward value depends on the current pool and all qualified activity. But if you want to help shape the community—and start building Helpful points before the crowd arrives—this is the window.

The protected Hydro course is being prepared around DWC and RDWC planning, reservoir management, root-zone health, nutrient mixing, flowering and real case studies. I will announce enrollment when the course and purchase flow have completed final review.

The Cup of Coffee Supporter tier is the low-cost way to help keep HWGrow independent. Supporter access includes the growing set of supporter-only guides and community features listed on the membership page. Masterclasses remain separate programs because they contain their own organized course libraries.

The site is still being refined. If the Guide Assistant misses the point, choose Not helpful, explain what was wrong and suggest the correct answer. Approved corrections improve the HWGrow knowledge library and can earn one qualified Helpful point.
